We go back into space on the 1st Friday of Summer 2011 as Apollo 17 astronaut (and former Senator from New Mexico) Dr. Harrison Schmitt, joins us on the Liberty Line.
Dr. Schmitt was the last man to step on the moon as the Lunar Module Pilot for Apollo 17, and was the only geologist to visit the moon, as well as the only Apollo astronaut to have not served in the military.
We talk about his career leading up to the final moon mission, the state of NASA and space exploration today, private space flight, and his work on other public policy issues, including his board membership at the Heartland Institute!
Welcome to Liberty Line Radio, the home of the Institute for Liberty's Podcast! Hosted by IFL President Andrew Langer, the Liberty Line brings you timely guests, news and commentary, and an entertaining approach to politics and policy. With nearly two decades of political experience, as a DC policy leader and a Tea Party Activist, the Liberty Line offers something entirely new on the web.
